Follow eating and drinking instructions

You may be asked to avoid food and liquids for several hours before your procedure. (Your dentist or the MASC team will provide your exact fasting timeline.)

Review your medications

Bring a list of everything you take, including prescriptions, supplements, and over-the-counter medications. Never stop medications without guidance from your doctor or anesthesiologist.

Plan your ride home

Because sedation can leave you drowsy, you’ll need a responsible adult to drive you to and from your appointment.

Wear comfortable clothing

Short sleeves make it easier to place monitoring equipment and IV lines.
Your dental office and MASC will confirm all instructions during your pre-procedure call.
